Depuis 2017, le collectif Sassoufit publie annuellement un rapport sur l’état de droit et la démocratie en République du Congo.

Il s’agit d’une compilation non exhaustive des atteintes aux libertés, d’une analyse et des récommandations pour contribuer à l’amélioration de la gouvernance politique du pays.

Le rapport annuel est de facto un outil de plaidoyer qui offre une matière première de qualité pour les organisations internationales. Le rapport offre aussi une perspective congolaise à la résolution de nos conflits.

Le collectif publie aussi des rapports d’investigations sur la corruption.

Enfin, il a une visée archivistique c’est à dire faire mémoire écrite dans une civilisation de l’oralité.

RAPPORT 2022 : UNE POLICE CRIMINELLE DIRIGÉE PAR UN GÉNÉRAL RECHERCHÉ POUR CRIME CONTRE L’HUMANITÉ

Depuis maintenant plus de 8 ans, le Collectif Sassoufit milite ardemment contre tous les prétendus élus du peuple congolais qui, avec l’aide d’une police criminelle et une justice politisée, ont fait main basse sur l’ensemble des ressources naturelles du Congo et pris en otage, une population démunie et abandonnée par les institutions internationales. Avec ce nouveau rapport annuel, il poursuit son œuvre de sensibilisation et de mobilisation citoyenne pour l’État de Droit et la Démocratie.

ASSETS ABOUND : TRACKING THE ASSETS OF CONGO BRAZZAVILLE KLEPTOCRATS

Republic of Congo President Sassou-Nguesso’s grip on power in the natural resource-rich country has lasted decades. Sassou-Nguesso further solidified his power with his fifth and most recent election victory in March of this year, which also resulted in the appointment of his namesake son to a new government position.

With this concentration of power within the hands of a few key individuals come accusations of corruption. Sassou-Nguesso’s family members have been connected to property assets in Florida, New York City, and elsewhere.

Sassoufit with the support of C4ADS tracked the assets of Sassou-Nguesso’s allies, family members, and political nomenklatura, tracking a total of USD 32.5 million tied to these politically exposed people. By identifying these assets, the anti-corruption community will have the necessary insight to combat the kleptocrat state and hold those who abuse their power accountable for corrupt activity.
